So we stayed at the historic Marcus Whitman hotel in Walla Walla. It was beautiful and we really enjoyed the fact that it was only an hour away.
We stayed at the Marcus Whitman for 2 nights and 3 days. It worked out that we were there over the 4th of July weekend. The hotel has a restaurant called "The Marc". We made sure to eat there once. We shared the best dessert I have ever had--a home-made caramel macchiato dessert. Home-made ice cream surrounded by a caramel baked crust. It was incredible.
This was a picture of our hotel room. The jacuzzi tub was awesome!
It seemed like the whole town of Walla Walla spent July 4th at the park. We sat on a blanket and read books, listened to a couple of different performers and then walked around the park and looked at the vendors. It was great day and we really enjoyed the fireworks that night.
Lastly, here is a picture of us the morning of our last day. We took our Bibles to a local coffee shop and just enjoyed reading, sharing and people watching. All in all we just had a great time!

What a fun weekend...I want one just like it. I am so glad that you are taking the time to get away...just the two of you. Remember to continue to do that as your family grows!
Yay! You're posting again... I've been waiting for SO long. Yep... that's how I spent my summer... stalking your blog. Abby and I had a lovely visit with you too! She tells me every day that she misses you (either that, or she's asking for milk... it's hard to understand her :)
Can't wait to hear about little Spencer's arrival!
Lots of love,
Amber
